Problem-finding

Sticky

With myriad types of adhesives that are manufactured, why must stickers on consumer goods be nearly impossible to remove? Why must they come apart into little pieces, requiring patience-trying persistence to remove them bit by bit by bit, only to then require a strong chemical adhesive remover to take off the goo that’s left behind?

The sticker shown here was made of a hard plastic material, and as it came off in enraging miniscule-little-tiny fragments, a chunk of it became lodged so far up under my fingernail that it hurt to use that finger for days. Why must a $6.99 stackable vinyl outdoor chair have a sticker so unremovable?
