opportunity
Economic development conferences often “talk the talk” about innovation and connectivity to stimulate business ideas, but the not-for-profit Business Innovation Factory (BIF) seeks to “walk the walk” with its annual summit of business leaders from all over the Northeast US. No PowerPoint slides. No canned speeches. Simply: stories of innovation, told by a mix of executives, artists, public officials, in 15-minute segments, off-the-cuff and from the heart. Capitalizing upon a deliciously successful collaboration with Business Innovation Factory (BIF) in 2005, Schwa was asked to position and communicate the offerings at BIF’s second “Collaborative Innovation Summit,” co-hosted by Richard Saul Wurman – one of the pioneers of “information architecture” – and Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal.
Schwadesign solution
As the agency of record for the Business Innovation Factory since 2005, Schwa worked with BIF to once again capture the essence of this event: the cross-pollination of industries and ideas that enables participants to seek collaboration and forge new alliances in unexpected places. Schwa’s work emphasized the “storytelling” aspect of the conference and created a playful environment, inspiring BIF summit participants to think, learn, do, and connect.
